The first graders started their first art project the week before last on Tuesday, and I’m excited for them to finish the project tomorrow.
Warm and Cool Cityscape. We looked at and discused a the variety of architecture used within a city’s structure, houses, skyscrapers, hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, ect., along with a variety of architectual details such as windows, roofs, and shutters. We then sketched a cityscape from our imagination and colored our city with either warm (red, orange, yellow) or cool (blue or green) watercolor crayons. Tomorrow we finish the project by gently brushing water onto our cityscape.
