Kinder Mural

May 11, 2009 by

Last week we started work on the Mural in the Kinder playground.  It’s looking good so far! The Kinders did a great job, and stayed relatively clean (which surprised me…I on the other hand had paint everywhere!) With parent help, this project should be done in the next  few weeks.green paintKinders working on muralday 1 kinder mural

My Blurb Book!

May 11, 2009 by

I made a sample art book, using art images made by the students at Torrey Pines Elementary, and I love how it turned out.  I used Blurb.com, and am very satisfied with the results.  I am really excited to see the Kindergarten Alphabet books.  They are like this book, but much bigger.Art book coverblurb book 2art book 1

Gala Art: 4th grade floral prints

April 30, 2009 by

The 4th grade classes each created a wonderful floral poster for the Galla this year.  They were made with styrofoam and wood block printing ink.  In addition to the poster, they also created individual floral cards, which will also be for sale at the Galla.

Gala Art: 3rd grade landscapes

April 30, 2009 by

A very colorful galla project! Each student created a square by reproducing an abstract section of a sketch and adding a variety of patterns in warm and cool colors.  They used oil pastel and watercolor to achieve super vibrant colors.  Like a puzzle, all the squares came together to create a river landscape.
